RUSS 2003 Intermediate Russian I (3 hours) Emphasis on increasing learners’ ability to use the language in a wider range of situations and with greater accuracy. Increased use of authentic materials. Study of grammar as aid to communication. Prerequisite: RUSS 2003 with a grade of C or higher, or Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in RUSS 1014 or its equivalent. All students with previous training or experience in Russian, including native speakers, must consult the School of Language and Literature for placement advice.
