MJEL 6053 Advanced Oil and Gas Law

(3 hours)
Focus on legal relationships involved in oil and gas exploration and development, from geophysical exploration to product marketing. Examination of leases on federal Indian and state lands; regulation of pooling and unitization on private and federal lands; interpretation of oil and gas instruments; and impact of environmental law on exploration and production.
