Study of the “dark side” of federal Indian law to examine certain structural weaknesses and nefarious legal doctrines embedded in the legal framework for indigenous rights in the United States that make Native American legal rights vulnerable. Compare federal Indian law with the minimum standards of the UNDRIP to explore possible improvements.
