LAW 6012 Law of Sports

(2 hours)
Focuses on legal issues in intercollegiate sports and selected issues in professional sports.  Topics include the legal aspects of athletic scholarships; intellectual-property rights in the context of big time intercollegiate sports; gender equality (Title IX); drug testing; the nature of the right to participate in sports; NCAA governance issues; sports-related tort issues; and sports violence.
