MATH 5613 Mathematical Biology


(3 hours)
Mathematical modeling of infectious diseases such as influenza, malaria, west nile virus, HIV and dengue fever using systems of differential equations. Linear stability analysis and bifurcation theory will be used to analyze these models. Computational methods fitting these models to data sets will be introduced. Prerequisites: MATH 3073  and permission of instructor.
