MUS 3413 Scoring for Film, TV, and Video Games


(3 hours)
Develops technique and skill in composing music for film, television and video games and an understanding of the business and how to succeed in it. Composing for different genres of film and television (drama, action, comedy, animation, etc.), video game music techniques, sound-alikes, midi sequencing, and audio mixing. Students are required to complete a final project in collaboration with a student film director in the scoring of an original film, or a similar project that involves collaboration with a director. Prerequisite: FLM 3223 /MUS 3223 . Same as FLM 3413 .
