ECON 3113 Economic Development


(3 hours)
Explores economic problems encountered by developing countries and alternative theories of development. Emphasis on industrialization, urbanization, international trade and finance, the public sector, multinational institutions, and technology. Sustainable development, environmental quality, and poverty reduction are crucial. Prerequisites: ECON 2013  and ECON 2023  with grades of D or higher.
