Admission functions administered by the Office of Online Education adhere to all established University admission policies and standards as implemented by the Graduate School, as applicable to the specific program level. Admission requirements, review processes, and decision criteria for Online Education programs align fully with those governing on-campus undergraduate or graduate programs to ensure consistency, equity, and academic integrity. In addition, certain policies and procedures apply specifically to programs overseen by the Office of Online Education due to modality considerations and/or unique programmatic, regulatory, or accreditation requirements. These online-specific policies are outlined below and supplement, but do not replace, the University’s undergraduate or graduate admission policies.
Enrollment Deposits
Students admitted to Online Education programs are not required to submit an enrollment deposit. This policy is intended to reduce financial barriers and streamline the admission process, particularly for students who may be eligible for full financial aid. By waiving the deposit, the university facilitates timely enrollment and ensures that admitted students can begin their programs without unnecessary delays.
Admission Counselors
Some Online Education programs provide admission counseling services to prospective students through external business partners. These partners assist with guidance on program selection, application procedures, and other admission-related inquiries. All counseling services are conducted in accordance with university standards, ensuring accurate information, consistency with institutional policies, and protection of student privacy. The Office of Online Education maintains oversight of partner activities to monitor quality, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure alignment with the university’s mission and enrollment goals.
