Program Learning Objectives

Students who complete the undergraduate program will:

  1. Acquire the analytical skills to understand the historical, theoretical, and production elements of film, including screenwriting, filmmaking and film scoring, as well as their formal, industrial and social properties.
  2. Develop a thorough understanding of the collaborative nature of film production from script to final edit and the evolving technological tools used in making film.
  3. Understand the professional requirements of the film industry and how to implement this knowledge in pursuing a career in film.
