MJEL 6013 Regulation of Energy Markets

(3 hours)
Analysis of state, regional and federal regulation of traditional energy resources. Consideration of unconventional energy resources, hydropower, nuclear power, renewable sources of energy, energy markets and market manipulation. Students learn public utility ratemaking methods and administrative procedures. Finally, the feasibility of energy sustainability as a future policy option is considered.
