CHEM 2043 Introduction to Brewing Science


(3 hours)
The mechanics of brewing, the basic chemistry of fermentation and water chemistry, and an exploration of the history and styles of brews. At course conclusion, students will take the exam administered by the Institute of Brewing and Distilling to qualify for the General Certificate in Brewing, an internationally recognized qulaification exam in the industry.  Prerequisite: CHEM 1013 .
