EE 7363 Computer Architecture

(3 hours)

Overview of the metrics used to evaluate performance of a computing platform and the techniques employed to improve performance. Topics include memory hierarchy; architectures to expose instruction-level, data-level, and thread-level parallelism, vector processors, and warehouse scale computing. Prerequisite: EE 7063 and EE 6163 or permission of instructor.
